Vision: Smart Prevention
- Hajok: Phenomenon
- Hajok: Threat
- Hajok: Chances
My vision of the future is not so much a vision of prevention in the digital world as a vision of a digital world in itself. There I have four central points. The first point is that the state should be adequately regulated in advance. It doesn’t do any ex post facto doctoring of the open patient. In other words, we must define clear rules and a clear legal framework for technical developments in advance and then enforce them. The second point of my vision is that digitisation is an issue that is appropriately taken into account in all contexts of education and parenting. And by this I do not only mean learning with media, but also learning about media, in other words, schools in particular, but also the parental homes, but also extracurricular work, must finally meet their educational and upbringing requirements. There is no mistake for me there. The third vision is that we concentrate less on what is technically possible in the field of digitalisation and more and more on what really makes sense for human coexistence, for the social coexistence of people. There are more and more differences in the question of what is feasible and realisable on the one hand and what really makes sense for human coexistence on the other. And then there is the fourth, in my view less relevant point, which is that people in the increasingly networked, digital world are increasingly coming to terms with the world in which they live. In other words, that prevention is to a certain extent done peer-to-peer among the people themselves and is less imposed from outside. That is my vision.
